This primarily Neotropical species occurs in the USA in Texas, and Mexico south to Colombia and Venezuela, and, in the Caribbean on Aruba and Grenada (Borkent and Spinelli 2007). It was previously known in Mexico from Campeche, Guerrero and Tamaulipas (Wirth et al. 1988); we provide the first records from Veracruz and Yucatán, and additional records from Tamaulipas.
