The structural and spatial changes recorded in Wallonia since World War II have brought about the abandonment of many sites of Importance to the economy. In spite of their spatial size and a greater awareness of the problems of area planning and development, not much is know about these sites and very litte research work has been done to date. The object of this article is to outline the issue as it now stands (number of sites, regional distribution, proposals and measures for revival) and to introduce some new research work. ; Les mutations structurel/es et spatiales enregistrées en Wallonie depuis la fin de la seconde guerre mondiale ont entraîné l'abandon de nombreux sites d'activité économique. Malgré leur importance spatiale et la prise de conscience des problèmes d'aménagement du territoire, ces sites sont encore mal connus et peu étudiés. Le but de cet article est de présenter l'état actuel de la question (nombre de sites, répartition régionale, propositions et mesures de rénovation, etc.) et d'introduire de nouvelles recherches.
