Recommendation on the risks of farmed fish

Studies into chemical contaminants in farmed fish and fish food and into the resistance to antibiotics in micro-organisms isolated from farmed fish show that the consumption of farmed fish does not cause any specific health risks. Chemical contamination levels are so low that the monitoring for chemical contaminants in farmed fish need not be intensified. Resistance to antibiotics in farmed fish could be monitored as is common in the agriculture sector. ; NL; nl; vwaefsafocalpoint@vwa.nl
