Говорить по-русски в Люксембурге: пятиязычное развитие детей в поликультурных условиях ; Speaking Russian in Luxembourg: The Five-Language Development of Children in a Multicultural Setting

peer reviewed ; This essay is a case study which looks at interferences types in the mother tongues of two multi-lingual sisters ages 8 and 6 who each speak 5 languages. In addition to typecasting of mistakes, the influence of the predominant language on the mother tongue is shown and the areas of language and the most significant deformations are defined. The question of whether a multi-identity emerges through multi-lingualism is answered with a resounding no, and the lingual identity of children is defined as a hybrid.
