This paper aims to analyze the French politics conducts in the intervention in Mali in 2013. To this end, the precedents of the Franco-Malian relationship, well-organized with the crisis of the Malian state, are understood, seeking to discern what changes in discourse led France to intervene in the conflict with the triggering of ongoing operations, and to understand what were the interests that guided it. With this background, official documents of the French government, analysis of historical documents and the speeches given by François Hollande and his ministers are analyzed, which result in the construction of nuances that allow identification of the events that occurred, elucidating them. It is concluded that being one of the world’s leading powers, France continues to transform its foreign policy, adapting it to new themes to its global interests. ; O presente trabalho tem como objetivo analisar a atuação da política francesa na intervenção no Mali em 2013. Para tanto, elencaram-se os precedentes da relação franco-malinesa, juntamente com a crise do Estado malinês buscando compreender quais as mudanças de discurso fizeram com que a França interviesse no conflito com o desencadear das operações em curso, e entender quais foram os interesses que a orientavam. Tendo como plano de fundo esses pontos, são analisados documentos oficiais do governo francês, análise de documentos históricos e os discursos proferidos por François Hollande e seus ministros, que resultam na construção de nuances que permitem a identificação dos fatos ocorridos, elucidando-os. Conclui-se que sendo umas das principais potências mundiais, a França continua transformando a sua política externa, adaptando-a aos novos temas para servir seus interesses globais.
