Landscape architect's plan. Shows roads, parks, numbered lots, pumping station (with windmill), playground, railroads, and lagoon. ; "Community on the south shore of Lake Mattamuskeet. Settled 1910 and named by a development company which attempted to drain the lake for farm land but finally gave up in 1934 when the lake was allowed to refill.
