Marika Holland (DI02320)

Holland studies sea ice and its role in the climate system. One of her areas of specialty is using computer models to study whether climate change in the next few decades will spur rapid melting and retreat of summertime sea ice in the Arctic. She also researches high-latitude climate variability and the influence of sea ice on the atmosphere and ocean. Holland is a scientist in NCAR's Climate and Global Dynamics Division.
