In a Private Collection in Alcalá de Guadaíra, there are two Seventeenth Flemish paintings, exceptional for their themes, “The presentation of Pompeyo’s crown to Caesar” and “The Apotheosis of Caesar”. They are unusual themes in the Flemish tradition, which justifies (or proof) the participation of a Constituent to choose those themes. The painter was Marco Antonio Garibaldi, who born in Antwerp but with a distant Italian origin. There are just a few data in his biography.
