Army Service of a Radio Engineer

Bernard Palmer was a radio engineer who served in the army, first in the Royal Army Ordnance Corps (1940-42) and then in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (1942-46). In 1941, he was in Cape Town, where a family who entertained him wrote to his wife to let her know that he was well. He later fought in the desert where he had a chance meeting with his brother.
