Analyzing Dutch Neighborhoods: Identifying Typologies with Artificial Intelligence

This presentation presents a novel approach to categorizing Dutch neighborhoods into distinct typologies using artificial intelligence. Undertaken by the Climate Resilient Cities team at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, the study aims to enhance urban climate adaptation strategies. It details the assembly and processing of extensive geospatial datasets, employing a Random Forest Classifier for accurate neighborhood classification. The research culminates in an updated Dutch neighborhood typologies map, offering insights into tailored climate adaptation measures.
