Fragment Kroniek / Kronieknotities 1541 [Dutch and English record]

Fragment, a single sheet of parchment (15x13 cm) written on both sides. The recto side contains a coherent and continuous narration of events of war in the Groninger Ommelanden (all of the countryside of the region of Groningen) in 1536, which continues onto the verso side. The texts then changes into short and separate notes about events of war in the Ommelanden: first still about 1536, then about the years 1498-1506, including information about the monastic community of Thesinge.
