The painting “Portrait of a Young Woman with Gold Chain”, present in the permanente collection of the Museum of Art of São Paulo (MASP), initially attributed to Rembrandt, had its attribuition denied its the third volume of the “Corpus of Rembrandt Paintings” edited by the Rembrandt Research Project (RRP), in 1989. No further studies were carried out to update the issue in the past 30 years.
