Noted on the second page of the digital object, "My words at the dedication of the North Church after its being repaired. This church was ruined and defiled by the British Army during the Revolutionary War from 1776 to 1783. Upon our return at the peace which was November 1783 it was repaired -- and on Sep. 26, 1784 again solemnly opened & dedicated." The sermon begins with Haggai II.9 [2.9], "The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former saith the Lord of Hosts; and in this place will I give peace."
