The Female Experience - Serving During Wartime

Going through the photo album kept by my mother, I found pages with photographs of her and her friends/fellow servicewomen during the war. They look to be having a wonderful time, and perhaps the photos show the few times they COULD relax and pretend nothing was happening? This story was shared during an in-person interview at a Digital Collection Day. A transcription of the interview is attached to this record.
