Objective: To determine how risk factors influence intestinal parasite infections in school children attending the Sabanetillas Educational Unit of the Sabanetillas Campus in the Echeandía canton in the province of Bolívar in the period from May to September 2019. Methodology: Field study was used, descriptive and transversal, with qualitative-quantitative modality. intentional non-probabilistic sampling was used according to inclusion and exclusion criteria; the sample being constituted by 60 school children. Unstructured and direct scientific observation techniques, surveys and a coproparasitologi cal examination were used for diagnosis. Results: Of the sample that was worked 47/60 were parasitized. In performing the coproparasitologi cal examinations, the most frequent Protozoa Were Giardia lamblia with 68.3 % and helminths such as Ascaris lumbricoides with 36.8 %. The prevalence of polyiparasitized infants is high (83.0 %), inlike monoparasitic minors, which is low (17.02%). Conclusions: The lack of basic services, the low economic level, the lack of knowledge related to parasitosis, and the limited intervention of health personnel in the educational unit, are risk factors that favor the proliferation and distribution of intestinal parasite infections.
