Headmaster’s competency is one of the important elements in the administrative structure of an organisation or school. Being competent helps headmasters to improve school’s achievements at various levels. This study disclosed the ability of headmasters via the practice of headmasters’ leadership as well as the relationship of commitment of teachers in schools. This study used quantitative design as the main design where observation is done based on adapted existing questionnaires. A total of 90 primary school teachers were involved as a group of respondents selected using purposive sampling method. The findings of the study revealed that the adapted questionnaire instrument showed a good reliability value of r=.89. To determine the relevance of headmaster’s leadership practices to the relationship of commitment of school teachers, the findings uncovered that there is a significant relationship that is p <=. 001 between leadership practices on the commitment of primary school teachers. This study is recognised as very significant as it is an essential element and competency that must exist among school’s headmasters. This is to ensure the organisational structure of the school is in good condition and thus drive the school towards dynamic excellence.
