Obtenção do sabão de coco oriundo do efluente pré- tratado de uma agroindústria de beneficiamento de coco seco (cocos nucifera l.)

The coconut processing industries, for the most part, use dried coconut to generate products and by-products, resulting in the generation of waste that often lacks proper disposal. In the case of effluents found in these industries, there is the presence of coconut oil tha t does not have a designated reuse, considering the aforementioned, this study aimed to treat pretreated coconut oil from an effluent of a dry coconut processing agro-industry to obtain coconut soap, with the intention of reusing this material, and conducting the physicochemical characterization of the coconut oil. It began with the treatment of coconut oil with activated carbon as an adsorbent agent for pigments to clarify the oil. Subsequently, the treated coconut oil was sent to a commercial laboratory for physicochemical analysis, which included moisture, pH, acidity index, peroxide index, and saponification index. After obtaining the results, coconut soap bars were produced. The oil treatment yielded good results in terms of clarification using activated carbon. However, the results analyzing the quality of the residual coconut oil showed a high moisture content, a pH value of 3.13, a high acidity index (110.92 g/100 g of oleic acid), a peroxide index within the standards established by ANVISA (2008) and a saponification index of 135.29 mg KOH/g, considered lower than that found in the literature. The soap produced had a whitish color, a specific odor and a pH of 9,5 and good foam formation. It was possible to obtain bar soap fron agroindustry effluent whit a pH that allowed by ANVISA, making it viable option for agroindustry entrepreneurs in this sector. Furthermore, is has the consequence of reducing this wast in the environment.
