Modelación de la dinámica del transporte de nitratos (NO3-) en suelo de un proceso de floricultura, ubicado en la Sabana de Bogotá

Recently, the use of simulation tools has become more significant for decision-making, in the management of environmental services and impacts associated with anthropic activities in ecosystems. These tools allow to know from a water and environmental perspective, the possible final destination and the degree of mobility of fertilizer substances such as nitrates (NO3-). Substances that are commonly used in the different agricultural sectors of the Colombian floriculture, mainly in strategic productive areas such as the Bogotá Savannah, in which about 79% of the total area of flower cultivation... Substances that are commonly used in the different agricultural sectors of the Colombian floriculture, mainly in strategic productive areas such as the Bogotá Savannah, in which about 79% of the total area of flower cultivation in the country is located (DANE, 2010). The objective of this research is to use a simulation tool to predict the dynamics of the movement of nitrates (NO3-) in a soil of the agroecosystem of the Bogotá savannah, using unsaturated flow and transport conditions under the concept of physical non-equilibrium. For this purpose, a modeling process was carried out with the HyDRUS 1D software (Simunek et al., 1998), following the steps proposed by the protocols of Camacho et al., (2003), IDEAM, (2018) and MADS, (2018). Within this process, the percentage of nitrate leaching (NO3-) in the cut rose floriculture process was analyzed, together with the determination under laboratory conditions of the hydrophysical and transport parameters of the soil studied. Experimentally, the methods of: Richard’s pots (Klute, 1986), hot air (Arya et al., 1975) were used together with the dynamic adsorption tests (Breakthrough Curve) (OECD, 2004) and Batch type adsorption (OECD, 2000). Subsequently, a non-linear optimization process was carried out to determine the effective parameters that give solution to Richard’s (Richard’s, 1931) and Dispersion Convection (Lapidus and Amundson, 1952) equations, using the RETC software (Van Genuchten et al., 1991) and the CXTFIT algorithm (Toride et al., 1995) present in the STANMOD ® software. From the obtained results, that nitrates (NO3 -) have a high degree of mobility in the soil under study, indicating a ...
