The Cuban National System of Protected Areas has in its objectives, to increase the representativity of the marine area by means of the declared marine protected (MPA). For an appropriate management of the areas, requires a well known about the biological diversity that the areas possess. Compiled the existent information on the specieses of the macrophytobentoses (marines macroalgases and angiospermous) present in the MPA of the Sabana-Camaguey archipelago and in Pinar del Rio province, in differents publications, data bases and in the characterization of some MPA of the Cuban south archipelagoes; the taxonomic list by AMP with the taxonomy updated was elaborated. We found some information of species of the macrophytobentoses of 22 MPA in different management categories. Until the moment it been registered 391 species and subspecies, in 4 phyla: Rhodophyta, Ochrophyta, Chlorophyta and Tracheophyta. In our country it is known more than 500 infragenerics taxons of macroalgases and marines angiospermous, and in the tropical and subtropical westwern Atlantic more than 1 500. Because it we hope that can find more specieses when the inventories increasing and the taxonomy studies of the marine vegetation in our MPA. ; El Sistema Nacional de Áreas Protegidas de Cuba tiene, entre sus objetivos, incrementar la representatividad de la zona marina mediante las Áreas Marinas Protegidas (AMP). Para un manejo adecuado de estas, se requiere conocer la diversidad biológica que poseen dichas áreas. Se compiló la información existente sobre las especies del macrofitobentos (macroalgas y angiospermas marinas) presentes en las AMPs del Archipiélago Sabana-Camagüey y en la provincia Pinar del Río, en publicaciones, bases de datos y de la caracterización de algunas AMPs de los archipiélagos al Sur de Cuba.
