Achieving a certain level of architectural excellence is hindered in many new offi ce buildings by the predominant infl uence of roughly two elements. Ante todo, muchos edificios de oficinas son concebidos, construidos y encajados desde fuera conforme a directrices económicas y financieras. Así, las ventajas potenciales de eficacia, funcionalismo y sensatez son desplegadas de una manera muy limitada. Esta preferencia de funcionamiento, a menudo, conduce a los edificios a unas morfologías anodinas de las cuales hay docenas y docenas. El diseñador o el usuario generalmente disfrutan poco en este tipo de edificios.
