OSPAR threatened and/or declining species and habitats in the Netherlands

In order to protect biodiversity, OSPAR has defined a list of ‘threatened and declining species and habitats’ that are in need of protection. This list is based upon nominations of species and habitats that were considered priorities for protection by Contracting Parties and observers to the Commission.
