The Dutch guideline Chronic Urticaria aims to introduce a stepped-care model for the treatment of chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU). In this manuscript ciclosporin is discussed as potential treatment option. Ciclosporin is a systemic calcineurin inhibitor with immunosuppressive properties.
