Elton Marshall Eenigenburg : General Synod, parliamentarian and constitutionalist

During the 1936-37 school year I became acquainted with a bright and personable young man from Chicago, who was rooming in Hertzog Hall at New Brunswick Theological Seminary. He was a senior at Rutgers University and I was a senior at New Brunswick Seminary. Little did we know then that in the coming years our paths would cross many times and we would become closely associated in the work of the General Synod and the life of the Reformed Church in America. It is from this association and perspective that I pay tribute to my friend Elton M. Eenigenburg.
