Participatory versatility in Flanders : a multiple correspondence analysis

In this chapter, Lesley Hustinx and Henk Roose explore repertoires of participation by means of a multiple correspondence analysis based on a representative sample of 1440 Dutch-speaking Belgians in 2009. Second, their results suggest that traditional modes of exclusion persist, even if political participation embraces both traditional and innovative forms. Finally, political disengagement is clearly associated with civic alienation.
