Gambrel-Dutch style barn, Eaton family, Kittitas County, Washington, 2007

The old wooden, Gambrel-Dutch style barn located near the intersection of Thrall and Canyon roads stands empty and unused. It is owned by the Eaton Family who have large hay and cattle ranches in the Yakima River Canyon. Newly constructed metal sheds and warehouses have been built to the south of the old barn. Wind break trees can be seen in the background on the southern foothills used to protect the fruit orchards from the strong Ellensburg winds.
