Unexpected gaps in knowledge of familial hypercholesterolaemia among Dutch general practitioners

Background: Familial hypercholesterolaemia (FH) warrants early diagnosis to prevent premature atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (CVD). However, underdiagnosis and undertreatment of FH persist.
