Understanding the birth of a touristic destination, through the analysis of the correlation 'motivations - resources', is an important element to the several economic agents who move themselves in the area of tourism and, equally, to the public institutions that should define the politics for the sector. In this way, the work that we carried out, and which is briefly summarizing, was moved by the attempt of understanding the subjacent motivations and the evaluation of touristic resources made by a community of Dutch tourists that, in the last years, has been moving to a camping park placed in a rural area in Sátão (Casfreires - Ferreira de Aves), where, some time later, some of those tourists started to build several secondary residences in which they live during long periods of the year. ; A compreensão do nascimento de um destino turístico, através da análise da correlação 'motivações - recursos', é um importante elemento para os diversos agentes económicos que se movem na área do turismo e, igualmente, para asinstituições públicas, a quem cabe a definição das políticas para o sector.Assim sendo, moveu-nos no estudo que efectuámos, e do qual aqui vamos deixar uma breve síntese, a tentativa de compreensão das motivações subjacentes à deslocação e a avaliação dos recursos turísticos, feita por uma comunidade de turistas holandeses que nos últimos anos se tem vindo a deslocar para um parque de campismo localizado numa área rural do concelho de Sátão (Casfreires - Ferreira de Aves), onde, posteriormente, nas imediações do parque, alguns desses turistas começaram a construir diversas residências secundárias que ocupam durante longos períodos do ano.
