Deed for small parcel of land, 1822

Deed conveying a one-tenth of an acre lot between owners of adjacent properties, from John Van Houte to Jacob D. Van Winkle. Property is described in relation to the road from Bergen to Prior's Mill, which was an important business and landmark from 1760, when the land along the Hudson River was mostly marshes, until 1838 when the New Jersey Railroad filled in much of the area.
