He finished his career with an overall record of 323 wins, 295 losses, and 5 ties, a winning percentage of .522. Roys coached the Springfield College baseball freshman team until the current head coach Archie Allen stepped down in 1978. It is unclear when Roys began coaching the freshman team, but it was from at the latest 1972-1978. Prior to this, Roys was also a baseball player at Springfield College where he played catcher.
