Schenectady NY -- Dr. Edwin C. Cohn, Director of Harvard University Laboratory of physical chemistry, holds a new devise used to separate blood into its components parts for medical use. The device, designed by Belgium scientist, Dr. Maurice d'Hont, is a key part of the equipment now installed in a ""mobile blood processing laboratory"" which was demonstrated at the GE research laboratory here for the first time today before members of the National Academy of Scientist. White blood cells and platelets are separated from the plasma during a process on which they are rapidly whirled in the container held by Dr. Cohn
