Landfill site selection in the Walloon Region (Belgium). The systematic approach for landfill site selection, adopted by the Walloon government, is presented, which is planned for the next 20 years. The strategy concerns municipal as well as industrial wastes, inert wastes or even sludges from the clearing and dredging of waterways. After this procedure, the Walloon government will decide probably at early 1999 - the final selection of landfill sites.
