Territoires et ressources lithiques dans le nord de la France et en Belgique dans l'horizon Chasséen-Michelsberg

National audience ; The documentation concerning the archaeological sites attributed to the Chassean-Michelsberg culture has strongly grown in recent years, particularly with the development of preventive archaeology, the study of archaeological data accumulated since several decades and the implementing of specific research programs to regional entities. National audience ; The documentation concerning the archaeological sites attributed to the Chassean-Michelsberg culture has strongly grown in recent years, particularly with the development of preventive archaeology, the study of archaeological data accumulated since several decades and the implementing of specific research programs to regional entities. Under a Franco-German research program (ANR, MK projekt), the synthesis of information on lithic assemblages allow analysis of the relationship between the procurement sites, workshops and consumption sites – domestic sites or enclosures. Four case studies were selected corresponding to well documented regions with far advanced studies : the Aisne, Oise, Marne and Meauldre valleys. The Spiennes complex in Belgium, flint mining and enclosure, complete this information and is used for comparisons. The different production patterns, the raw material procurement network and distribution of semifinished or finished products are presented for each case. This highlights the differences between the studied sectors regarding both in the territorial organization and the location of the sites specialized in the production of blades and axes. General trends for the domestic production occur, which see the settlements of the Northern Chassean Culture relaying on simple or loosely structured supply network, and thus keeping a certain level of autonomy, while in the Michelsberg culture knows more complex and structured networks, with a greater distance between some settlements and supply sites. The communities, then, would maintain stronger links between them.
