This dissertation seeks to understand how Ilé Asé Dajó Ìya Omí Sàbá, a candomblé and jurema terreiro, becomes a reference in Afro-Brazilian religion in Areia Branca-RN. Following the paths taken by this House since Yalorixá Maria Pinheiro (in memorian) to the publication of their work, this research moves between yalorixás, babalorixás, fathers and mothers of saints, orixás, entities, objects, clients, politicians, teachers and researchers. I use the notion of memory and agency to analyze the prominence of this terreiro in relation to its political strategies related to Afro-Brazilian religion in Areia Branca. The research follows a qualitative ethnographic approach, carried out between 2019 and 2021. The ethnography was built from the dialogue with people of the House; with the objects of the Maria Pinheiro Memorial; observations in the rituals of jurema and candomblé; interviews with other players who are connected to this space, who are part of the terreiro's articulations and lead to the publicizing of the sacred, through the cortege to Iemanjá, the Axé em Notícia newspaper and social media “lives”. ; Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES ; Esta dissertação busca compreender como o Ilé Asé Dajó Ìya Omí Sàbá, um terreiro de candomblé e jurema, transforma-se em referência na religião afro-brasileira em Areia BrancaRN. Utilizo a noção de memória e agência para analisar o destaque desse terreiro frente às suas estratégias políticas relacionadas à religião afro-brasileira em Areia Branca.
