This paper aims to describe the rhetoric and masters of Minangkabau locality in the script of Sabai Nan Aluih tonic written by Sutan Sati. The type of this research is qualitative with descriptive method. The data in this study are words or phrases that can be formulated as rhetoric and masters of Minangkabau locality in the script of Sabai Nan Aluih written by Sutan Sati. The source of data in this study is the script tonil Sabai Nan Aluih written in Indonesian form by Sutan Sati written in 1960 with the publisher Balai Pustaka. In an introduction to the manuscript of Sabai Nan Aluih, Sutan Sati said that Minangkabau language can also be Indonesianized by not changing its language. Meanwhile, for people who do not know the language Minangkabaupun not lost meaning. That is, readers who are not of Minangkabau ethnic can also understand the language and contents of the story written in Minangkabau locality language. The language of Minangkabau locality in literary texts is utilized by the use of regional idioms or terminology, socio-cultural references related to certain locality, regional dialect, and non-formal language, regional expressions, including language styles.
