The main purpose of this study on these works which belong to Turkish and German cultures is to evaluate the characters related to their social and personal alienation. Therefore we carry out our analysis in line with the similarities and differences between main characters named Raif and Walter and between female characters named Maria and Hanna in terms of the criteria of Comparative Literature by sociological criticism.
