Objectives: Our aim was to evaluate trends and regional differences in the use of indwelling and intermittent urinary catheters in the community setting in the Netherlands from 2012 to 2021. Design and methods: For this population-based cohort study, data on catheter use was collected from the Drug and Medical Devices Information System of the National Healthcare Institute of the Netherlands.
