The Colombian floriculture sector becomes one of the most competitive within the productive sectors of the world, due to the advantages that Colombia has which are different climates and its topography, which have allowed the floriculture sector to offer to the world a great variety of flowers of excellent quality. However, Colombia has not managed to overcome of its great competitor Holland, since it has been based exclusively on its endowment of natural resources. For its part, Holland is the undisputed world leader in the floriculture sector, this has been achieved thanks to its great technological advances in the management of crops, great government support and innovation in their products. ; El sector floricultor colombiano se caracteriza por ser uno de los más competitivos dentro de los sectores productivos del mundo, debido a las ventajas con las que cuenta Colombia entre las cuales se encuentran sus diversos climas y su topografía, que le han permitido al sector floricultor ofrecer al mundo gran variedad de flores de excelente calidad. Sin embargo, Colombia no ha logrado superar a su gran competidor Holanda, pues se ha basado únicamente en su dotación de recursos naturales. Por su parte Holanda es el líder indiscutible a nivel mundial en el sector floricultor, esto lo ha logrado gracias a que cuenta con grandes avances tecnológicos en el manejo de cultivos, gran apoyo gubernamental y la innovación en sus productos.
