This research involves a scientific assessment and synthesis of 10-15 years of development-driven research concerning the early prehistory (Palaeolithic to Middle Neolithic). Its purpose was to evaluate the contribution of development-led archaeology to the answering of questions from the National Archaeological Research Agenda version 1.0, and make suggestions for a new agenda.
