Tableau vivant, erected 1515 in Bruges by the guild of confectioners (folio 56v) ; The scene alludes to the impending economic decline of Bruges: at the center a personification of the city is mourning because trade languishes. Trade is represented below on the right, by a woman holding a ship, who tries to flee. On the left the decline of trade is prefigured by Nebuchadnezzar's dream of a great tree about to be cut down.
