Captain A. C. Flanders, born 1875-02-11, Paw Paw, Michigan, and died 1936-01-26, Metaline Falls, Washington, of a paralytic stroke. His death followed five days after that of his wife. Captain Flanders was pilot of the steamboat, Metaline, until navigation was terminated by the railroad. He entered the employ of the Granby Copper Company in Anyox, British Columbia where an accident cost him the loss of his leg. He was married to Eva Love Miller on 1903-12-23. Siblings include Bessie Flanders Carpenter, Patterson, New Jersey; Mrs. J. A. Dunlap, Seattle, Washington; Mrs. J. Peterson, Hayden Lake, Idaho; Fred Flanders, Spokane, Washington; Ross Flanders, Waitsburg, Washington. He is buried in Riverside Cemetary, Ione Washington.
