Abstract Objective The Health Assessment Questionnaire (HAQ) disability index (DI) is the most common self‐reported measure of physical disability in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Recently, the HAQ‐II was developed in the US as a short, valid, and reliable alternative using Rasch analysis.
