TERPINGGIRKAN DI TANAH KELAHIRAN: POTRET KELOMPOK INDO DI HINDIA BELANDA ABAD KE-19-20

The Indo group is a group of mixed-blood natives (in this case Indonesia) and Europeans. The Indo group is a group of mixed-blood natives (in this case Indonesia) and Europeans. During the 17th and 18th centuries they became an elite group of aristocrats because most of them came from the descendants of European officials. However, since the second decade of the 19th century, the Indo group began to come under attack because it was judged that their culture (called Indic culture) was irrelevant to European ethics. This paper uses the historical method by doing a careful reading of sources in the form of books, articles, online news, and other supporting literature. This paper shows that the Indo group in the Dutch East Indies in the 19th to 20th centuries experienced a long dynamic as a marginalized mixed-blood group. Not only marginalized in terms of human rights, but also marginalized in Indonesian historiography.
