Reformed Church, Kinderhook, N.Y. (2)

A photographic postcard providing a view from the side of the Kinderhook Reformed Church on Broad Street in Kinderhook, N.Y. Barren trees run along a fence bordering the property, obscuring most of the church. In the center stands a utility pole. Originating as a mission for an Albany church c.1677, the Dutch Reformed Church became a separate organization in 1712. Pictured is the fourth version of the building, built in 1869 (History of Old Kinderhook New York, Collier 270 and 273).
