Old Dutch Church, 272 Wall Street, Kingston, New York

The Old Dutch Church, located on 272 Wall Street. The Dutch Church was originally organized in 1659, while Kingston was still the colonial village of Wiltwyck. The structure in this image--built of native bluestone--was completed in 1852. It was designed by architect Minard LaFever. The first elected governor of New York State, Gen. George Clinton, and more than 70 Revolutionary War soldiers are buried in the graveyard surrounding the church.
