Second Reformed Dutch Church, Kingston, N.Y.

A postcard depiction of the Second Reformed Dutch Church, located at 209 Fair Street in Kingston, New York. The church was founded by members who seceded from the First Dutch Church in 1850, and their choice of Gothic Revival architecture may have been a bold statement of their declaration of independence. The limestone used in the building came from Luke Noone's quarry on upper Pearl Street, where rock outcroppings are still very visible.
