EXPERIMENT FOR INTEGRATING DUTCH 3D SPATIAL PLANNING AND BIM FOR CHECKING BUILDING PERMITS

This paper presents a research project in The Netherlands in which several SMEs collaborated to create a 3D model of the National spatial planning information. This 2D information system described in the IMRO data standard holds implicit 3D information that can be used to generate an explicit 3D model. The project realized a proof of concept to generate a 3D spatial planning model.
