RECOVERY WALLS: THE PORTUGUESE CAPITAL OF PORTUGUESE AMERICA TRANSFERRED TO JESUIT HOLIDAYS.

The text discusses the importance of indigenous contingents in the Portuguese troops who resisted the invasion of the City of Salvador by the Dutch in 1624. The indigenous activities resulted from the Jesuit missionary work which, through the villages, promoted a socio-cultural homogenization of the natives with adherence to the metropolitan project.
