Inscribed on back: "Dec1945" ; Environment ; Infrastructure ; Title supplied by cataloger. The highway section near Dutch Point was often referred to as the Dike Highway, as it ran past and on the flood control dike along the Connecticut River. It later became I-91.A coal conveyor was used to move coal from one location to another. A loaded railroad hopper car would stop and dump their load of coal into a bin beneath the tracks, from where the coal would be carried up across the highway to the generating plant.
