A map of the changes in altitude of Belgium for the period from 1948 to 1980, is given as a result of the comparison of two first order levellings. The ground does not seem stable anywhere. Les Hautes Fagnes plateau and the east of Kempen which were uplifted from 1892 to 1948, are subsident from 1948 to 1980. The seismic part of eastern Belgium is located where the direction of the movement is changed.
