L'impatto del Gaio veronese sull'insegnamento del diritto romano in Belgio ; The Impact of the Discovery of the Gaius of Verona on the teaching of Roman Law in Belgium

peer reviewed ; 1817 is the year when the palimpsest of the Institutes of Gaius was discovered. It was also the year of the founding of the universities of Liège, Ghent and Louvain. The great Professor Leopold August Warnkönig has played a very important role in this respect: He was professor of roman law successively in Liège, Louvain and Ghent.
